Bestpass employees recently spent two weekends painting and landscaping for the Connect Center for Youth in Cohoes, N.Y.

The Connect Center provides a safe space for youth to be after school. Once the students' basic needs for safety have been met, the organization uses mentorship and youth development programs to help them explore their passions, talents, and, ultimately, a career path.

“The Connect Center was an awesome volunteer opportunity! Our team got to paint a soon-to-be computer/tech lab, where kids from the community will be able to take classes and learn," said Shanna Thouin, Director of Sales for Bestpass and a member of the Bestpass Gives committee. "The entire facility is an incredible space and they still have a lot of work to do. We are hoping to go back again soon to keep giving them a hand."

Bestpass Gives is an employee-led committee within the company that is responsible for identifying opportunities to contribute to the community in a meaningful way while also building relationships across functional teams. The committee identified assisting youth as its focus for the third quarter of 2021.

Bestpass Gives plans on returning to the Connect Center for Youth in September 2021.
